Cwtsh-up in Bed

Snuggle up in Egyptian cotton bed linen and deep duvets within one of 17 rooms, each individually designed with uncluttered elegance. Sheets and blanket available on request. The bedrooms have Farrow & Ball inspired colours set against Victorian architecture and a mixture of classic and antique furniture.

All rooms have freeview televisions, teapots and cafetiere’s with homemade shortbread. Luxury Temple Spa products can be found within the bathrooms.

The Best rooms are the largest of the rooms and (along with the Valley View rooms) overlook the spectacular Teifi valley with fields of sheep and hills beyond. Exact size and shapes vary, offering havens away from everyday life – beautifully furnished and several have views overlooking the landscaped gardens.

Best Double Room

Room 12 has a Juliet balcony to admire the sunrise in the far distant hills and a colour scheme of warm golds, reds and accented purples. Its snuggly quilted king size bed draws you into a good night’s sleep.


Best Double or Twin Rooms

Room 11 offers a separate seating area for lounging with a second TV. Its super king sized bed can be changed to two singles on request, there are two steps within the room itself. This green coloured space has the original shutters to close-out the day ready for a good night’s rest.

Room 23 is located under the eaves with picture windows overlooking the green fields and Lampeter church spire beyond. An unusual feature is its domed ceiling – painted a warming rose giving a sense of cosiness. Its super king sized bed can be changed to two singles on request.

Best 4-Poster Room

Room 8 has a 5-foot-wide ebony four-poster bed where you’ll wake-up and through the Juliet balcony admire the Teifi valley. Its striking floor to ceiling curtains can be drawn, but, why would you?

Two Double Beds

Room 21 is perfect for families as it has two standard sized double beds, as well as a comfortable sofa and space to spare. Located on the second floor (can be accessed via the lift and two steps) and overlooks the landscaped gardens.

Valley View Rooms

Room 9 has the ambience of a grand country house room with a king size bed in prime location on the first floor, there are two steps to access the room just outside the door. Traditional features and original window shutters open to reveal manicured lawns, fields and the hills beyond.

Room 17 is the place to read on its window seats. Wake up in its king size bed watching the red kites and buzzards in the valley beyond. It has a lot of stairs to reach it, but well worth the effort and view at the end.

Standard 4-Poster Room

Room 19 offers a standard sized four-poster bed with a beautifully proportioned room with original cornices. Accessed via 3 flights of stairs the purples and golds compliments the lush tree canopies seen from the window.

Large Double Rooms

Room 4’s king size bed draws you in with its classic Victorian claret red and green palette. Up one flight of stairs to the room and another two steps to open the Juliet balcony and view the garden and woodlands below. A child’s bed can be added on request.

Room 7 has high ceilings, a king size bed and a picture-perfect window (with original shutters) overlooking the landscaped gardens. Please make a request should you require a child’s bed in this room.

Room 18 is a large size room with plenty of space for its king size bed, a child’s bed (on request). Accessed via 3 flights of stairs this light and bright room overlooks the gardens to the side of the hotel.

Room 20 benefits from light from three windows that look out over a rooftop to the woodland beyond. Having climbed 3 flights of stairs you’ll find lots of space with the option of a child’ bed and a sofa bed – perfect for families!
