I fell in love with The Falcondale back in 1999 as I drove up the lane and saw the Italianate façade of this impressive Victorian country house, nestled at the top of the Teifi valley in Ceredigion.
Hidden away just a mile outside the University town of Lampeter you are awoken by birdsong and fall asleep to rustling trees and hooting owls.
The Falcondale is a Grade II listed country house set within 14 acres of lawns, gardens and woodland laid out over 150 years ago by the Harford family of Blaise Castle. Many of its 17 bedrooms overlook the landscaped gardens and views of the sheep on the fields and hills beyond.
I would encourage you to explore the local market towns and countryside. Don’t miss the Heritage coastline of Cardigan Bay, nor the atmospheric Cambrian Mountains.
