Join us at The Falcondale in May where the air turns a little warmer and brings with it the opportunity of getting outdoors. Outdoor adventures in Ceredigion can range from climbing, to walking to driving the spectacular roads. Be as active (or non-active) as you want.
Discover eleven amazing communities and the big green spaces of the Cambrian Mountains by walking eleven local footpaths.
Described by the AA as “one of the 10 best scenic drives in the world“, the B4518 road links Cwmystwyth and Rhayader. Its spectacular scenery crosses the watershed of the Cambrian Mountains taking in the fabulous Elan valley with its dramatic lakes and dams.
Another outstanding drovers’ route is the exhilarating B4343 from Tregaron over Abergwesyn and Llanwrtyd Wells. This fabulous route follows a wild bleak landscape with grand, spacious expansive views across the roof of Wales. On your way over the mountains, if you have time, take a detour and visit beautiful Soar y Mynydd chapel. Simple and isolated, the chapel is a spiritual haven of peace and tranquility.
Add to your stay an exciting guided tour around the Cambrian Mountains with Cambrian Safaris, they will guide you through areas that may be a bit tricky to get to for the average tourist.
Cambrian Safari’s will even allow your dog to join the tours. We suggest that you take a look at their website.
